My translation, please let me know if there are mistakes:
Master 9d is offering 100,000yuan (~$14,000 USD) to the first person who beats it. It will play on han-q (is this the same as Fox? maybe the Korean name for it?) for 2 days, January 2-3, 10 games each day. Master will decide who it plays. Korean, Chinese, and Japanese pros who want to play let Master know. Korea's Baduk heros, let's challenge Master 9d now!

ETA: Everyone assumes Master is an AI, but there isn't any firm evidence about who is behind it.

Online playing schedule: Every tenth February 29th from 20:00-20:01 (if time permits)
I take it Master is a computer program. I don't think I am familiar with it but perhaps I just forgot because others are getting all the headlines.

You are correct. It has gone 30-0 (maybe more by now) over the last few days against pros, including Ke Jie and Park Junghwan. See this thread.

41-0 meanwhile, as far as I have read somewhere here, on r/baduk, or in the German DGoB forum.

Also won against Gu Li and Iyama Yuta, IIRC.

I had not even looked at that thread. I assumed it was about people wanting to make contact on TyGem and as I do not play there I ignored it. It needed a better title.

Japanese Twitters seem to believe that the 41st game (11th in Fox server) it's Master vs. Kim Jiseok.

Game 40 was against Meng Tailing and 41 was Kim Jiseok.

Today's games so far:

42 - Yang Dingxin
43 - Kang Dongyun
44 - An Sungjoon
45 - Shi Yue
46 - Lian Xiao

All wins still.

From this
http://weiqi.qq.com/news/8515.html
It seems like this is not cash prize provide by Master, but a bounty reward put on by Fox server and Gu Li.

Put bounty reward on who's the first to take AI down, am I living in the future? lol, but let me add plot twist, what if another AI (like AlphaGo) is the one who defeat Master?

47th Tan Xiao
48th Park Junghwan
49th Weon Seongjin
Now that I've watched it live, there's one minute main time and 30 seconds 3 period of byoyomi
Master play all moves within 10 seconds, thus pro will easily fall into time pressure.
update: 50th Ke Jie

Master is actually Sai. Having spent the last year studying AlphaGo's matches and joseki, he has returned.

Whilst I don't think Master is AlphaGo*, that last game against Ke Jie with the white top left invading group eventually turning the tables and counter-attacking black did rather remind me of AlphaGo vs Lee Sedol game 3.

* because of the weirder opening style, though quite possibly since LSD AlphaGo has gotten stronger and free-er so changed style, maybe newly trained from self-play rather than humans.

Chatting in KGS and someone said that Tencent guy said that 'this dog is not that dog' (dog = alphago's nickname?)
Anyway, I rule out Chinese and Japanese AI since it's highly unlikely that they'll use South Korean flag.
If it's South Korean AI, then it's definitely Dolbaram
If it's not, my second choice is Deepmind's AI (AlphaGo or new AI), followed by CrazyStone.

A source from West China City Daily claimed that Master is indeed a newer version of AlphaGo, currently in beta: http://sports.sina.com.cn/go/2017-01-04 ... 4149.shtml (in Chinese). Still very unofficial though. It does make sense in that AlphaGo was given a honorary 9P by Korean Baduk Association after the Lee Sedol matches.

Playing Nie Weiping now, with 3 60-seconds byoyomi to compensate for his age (so I guess there are definitely some negotiation behind the scenes).

Someone assume that Fan Hui is behind cause some of his pro friends get to play more than others.

Winrate of bots
Master 98% Tygem and Fox (due to tie game because of Chen Yaoye's disconnection)
DeepZenGo 90% Tygem
Xing Tian 84% Fox
Jueyi 70% Fox

All bots are against 9d in even match.

Master thanked Nie Weiping in traditional Chinese ("謝謝聶老師") in the end, so still think it's Aja Huang behind given he's from Taiwan.

Of course not only neural network. The main power is still Monte Carlo tree search. Neural network just decreases the number of candidate moves. So compute power plays decisive role.
