Even a cursory examination shows that these sites are completely worthless for information on food additives.

Oh, then I am at least relieved a bit! :)

I found these sites better then the dull PDFs with E-number lists, which I also learned about a year ago.

No offense, but those are really really really shitty links. :grumpy:

Herman, I feel that something offended you, the 'no offense' precedes the proof.[/size]

This from the person who started his post with "Without judging people".

Went to the Asian Food Store and got 'em Chapagetti. I found them tasty (no wonder, given all the E-ngredients  ) - plus, the meal was only 1 Euro!

How did I prepare it? I had some grilled chicken left, which I put under the noodles.

Personally, I don't quite like eating instant noodles. However, among the instant noodles, the taste of Nong-shim is really nice, with its price in the higher end of the large variety of instant noodles stocked in our supermarkets. All of the kimchi series are good, except for the one with cheese.

If I have to eat instant noodles with the packets and the broth, it would always be Nongshim. I ate it pretty often during my summer in Korea, it was pretty good.

In the states, while I was a poor student with limited money over the summer, since I only had the choice between Nissin and Maruchan instant ramen at my supermarket, I refused to eat it in the same manner, because let's face it, it just can't compare to Nongshim. I also had no rice cooker, so I resigned myself to noodles as a source of carbs.

So what I would do is boil the noodles in a lot of water, add seaweed, chopped green onion, mint(taking a little of the Pho idea), cilantro, chicken(bought frozen, defrosted in water, diced and added), add some soy sauce to taste, and serve.

Changing some of the ingredients around worked pretty well, I lived pretty comfortably off of it for a summer.

I like shinramyun. I usually have it with an egg dropped in the broth, with gim and kimchi on the side. It's gotten to the point where I cannot eat ramen without wanting kimchi to go along with it. It contrasts the taste well.

My wife says not to drink the broth when we are finished eating (for health), but I like the broth, too...

I love shincup, I got really used to it in Korea, chappaghetti is ok, but compared to real jahjang myun, it pales...

I eat my instant ramen with and egg and scallions and left over meats, and well anything i find in my fridge....just dump it all in. Then when I am done with whats inside, I put a bowl of rice in the broth to make sure I don't waste a drop....

^^

Though i like eating it, it never makes me full for more than an hour...

Doesn't that hold true for every instant noodle out there?
