Registration for the 2014 SportAccord-Pandanet Online Tournament has started! See http://pandanet-igs.com/communities/pandanet/220 for details. This tournament is organized by Pandanet with cooperation from the International Go Federation and SportAccord. Parallel tournaments for Chess and Bridge will also be held. Registration ends September 15.

For Go, the tournament is divided by region as well as by playing strength. There are many prizes for the winners. For example, the top prize for the open section will be USD 3,000 or equivalent. In addition, several lottery prizes are offered for all who finish the first round.

Check out the website. There are four divisions, the main division is for players 3d and up, then divisions A through C are for progressively lower-ranked players. Anyone can play, provided you first obtain a firm Pandanet ranking. Prizes are given in all divisions. In addition, all players who finish the first round regardless of results are placed in a lottery for several very nice prizes courtesy of SportAccord.
