Post subject:  OGS 8k vs 8k game

Hi. This is a short game, my opponent resigned on the 85th move. But i have some doubts about situations that happened in this game. I put comments on some moves, just to tell what i was thinking or to ask something.

I'm Black. Thanks in advance.

Hi Wellington,

:b51: You played well up to here. Did you read the cut P11.

:b55: Even if you want the right side, you still push first at Q17.
After W replies at Q18, you can still decide which side you want.
But not pushing first is too good for W.

After the Q17-Q18 exchange, if you want the top, then hane p18 + connect P17.
Else if you still want the right side, then turn at the :b55: game move;
W can tiger's mouth S18, you atari S17, W connects, you have sente.

A standard corner shape; good to learn it.

:b59: Nothing to build there for B, unless you want to attack W's dragon,
but it's not your target at the moment. Better to tenuki and take a big point instead.

:w60: Not good for W.

:b63: Yes, you wanted to attack W.
W ignored :b59: -- did you read N17: if W pushes at O16,
you connect N16, happy to give up the (now) useless Q16 stones.

Even if you don't see N17, M16 is also a big local follow-up.

W's dragon is a problem for W forever. It is negative points for W.
You can tenuki and take the big points first, and let W worry about it for a long time.

:b65: Strange feeling. L9 direction ( profit on the outside ) is natural.

:b51: No, i didn't. Just wanted to connect my two groups.

I did not read N17. Guess i was too focused on the W's Dragon. So i should've sacrifice my Q16 stones to create thickness?

:b65: Didn't think about L9, again to focused on trying to kill the Dragon.

Thanks.
