A fourth game in this series, a fourth loss. I'm starting to regret my opening words in this series.
Quote:
I'd rather lose all my games for the next two weeks and improve a stone, than win them all and not get stronger.
Well, not really, though. I really believe this is helping me a lot. Even though I might not feel the effect of my reviews immediately, I think it's one of the strongest ways to improve and what I'm doing here is quite valuable.
So yesterday's game (reviewed today) was against a 13 kyu. So again stronger than me. I lost by 12.5 points, but I was actually ahead for quite a while in the game.
My losing moves were so typical of me that I don't know whether to cry, laugh or be mad.
I decided to do neither.
But moves like that have got to stop!
Anyway, the game is below. After it was finished, I was quite happy with my game. Reviewing it, I was confirmed in my beliefs, but I couldn't remember nor believe my losing sequence. Really suddenly my level drops 5-6 stones. If I can avoid plays like that, I'm bound to become a stable and decent 15kyu for now, I think.

My opponent has been going between ranks 10 and 13 for the past year, with a peak at 8 kyu. So he's definitely stronger than me.]RE[W+12.50]
;B[pd]C[I open on the 4-4]
;W[pp]C[White offers a cross game.]
;B[dd]C[But I go for a nirensei opening]
;W[dp]C[And so does he]
;B[qn]C[Basic low approach.]
;W[nq]LB[rp:A]C[Good reaction. Usually now I would slide in at A, but I need to experiment more and not just play the moves I know over and over.]
;B[pj]LB[pl:B][ql:A][rp:C]C[So I make this extension. There are invasion points at A and B, so it's not super safe, but it also keeps the possibilty open for C later.]
;W[qg]C[White makes an invasion between my two high stones here.]
;B[qe]C[No base from this side, this also protects my corner a bit.]
;W[rj]C[He makes a base like this. Undercutting me.]
;B[rp]LB[qk:A]C[Instead of the played stone, I should've played A (first)]
;W[ql]C[This is now a strong move, seperating my stones;]
;B[pl]LB[qq:A]C[I could play A, though. This is okay, too.]
;W[qm]C[Keep my stones seperated.]
;B[pm]C[Good shape for me, though, hane at the head of two stones.]
(;W[rn]LB[qo:A]TR[pn]C[He is not completely safe himself so this is a safety move.
Now Leela says I should play at A. I noticed that even though A felt okay, it doesn't save the cut, because the ladder doesn't work.]
;B[qk]LB[rk:A]C[So I do a thing more proactive. White should defend at A now.]
;W[qo]C[But white does something more proactive, too.]
;B[pn]C[I, of course, defend, sacrifice that one stone.]
;W[ro]C[White kills off the aji (maybe not completely. Can you still claim the corner with this stone?)]
(;B[rl]C[Again, proactive (or aggressive)]
;W[rm]C[White defends.]
;B[rk]C[I do, too. Was this worth giving up sente for? I think not. I need to be more aware of those things.]
;W[qi]C[His stones are in danger, though, he needs to safe them.]
(;B[cn]C[Not super, see variation.]
(;W[co]C[The kick is usually not so good in this situation.]
;B[dn]C[I get stronger]
;W[fp]C[Correct.]
;B[dj]C[Now I'm pretty strong there.
If you want to kick, I think the variation is better.]
;W[ch]C[We are both ignoring the big move around P12. But this is okay.]
;B[ci]C[I decided to kick. This is fair, I guess. I couldn't let him undercut this group.]
;W[dh]C[Normal reaction.]
;B[cf]C[Take away the base completely.]
;W[bi]C[Interesting.]
;B[bj]C[Have to.]
;W[di]C[Atari, I'll just defend.]
;B[cj]C[And then he still has no base.]
;W[bg]C[This is not a base? He should jump out instead.]
;B[bf]C[Not the best move but it's okay.]
;W[fc]C[White wants to keep my corner contained. That's okay.]
(;B[ec]C[Here I also do the bad example of a kick, but I was unsure of how to just defend the corner solidly. (see variation)]
;W[eb]C[Aggressive.]
;B[db]C[I defend.]
;W[fb]C[Save that one stone. But that stone isn't so important. I have a big shape move next!]
;B[fd]C[Ta-dam!]
;W[gd]C[Black definitely is ahead now.]
;B[fe]C[Correct move.]
;W[ge]C[Okay move, but not the biggest on the board.]
(;B[ff]C[A bit soft. Hane is better, says Leela. However, I was afraid of leaving too many cuts behind.]
(;W[fh]C[That's okay, but it doesn't accomplish a whole lot. It runs his group out, though, so that's the main point. I was just threatning to attack his group.]
;B[mc]LB[gf:A][fj:B]C[Big. However, Leela puts me behind after this move. She said A or B. Keep up the pressure, I guess.]
;W[oc]C[Very aggressive by white.]
;B[od]LB[mc:A]C[I decided he could have the corner, I want the outside then. Maybe this is not the best way of thinking after playing A, because it contradicts my tactics?]
;W[nc]C[Okay, not the best, though...]
;B[nd]C[Yes.]
;W[mb]C[Okay.]
;B[ld]LB[lc:A]C[Defend the cut. Once again, I didn't play A because the ladder didn't work. Leela wants me to play it, though, but I've heard AI has ladder problems.]
;W[lc]C[Yes.]
;B[md]C[Thickness!]
;W[lb]C[A bit passive, but okay.]
;B[pc]C[I don't have to give up my entire corner.
I'm back in Leela's favour!]
;W[ob]C[White is afraid of his life. He shouldn't be, though, he has friends on the left. ]
;B[rf]LB[og:B][oh:A][oi:C]C[Wrong way to pressure that group.]
;W[pi]C[Yes.]
;B[rg]LB[oi:A]C[Uhm... That's not a thing. It's not super bad but I should react to my opponent here.]
;W[oj]C[Strong.]
;B[ok]C[I back down.]
;W[qj]C[Atari]
;B[pk]C[Can't get cut off.]
;W[nj]C[Beautiful.]
;B[ml]C[Yes. My group is eyeless and should be my main concern.]
;W[rh]C[White has no time for this, he should keep my under pressure!]
;B[hq]C[This might seem odd. At the time, I thought I could maybe do something here and either live in his area or get some sabaki and outside stones to help my running group. Now I realize I'm in danger of making white strong on the outside and endanger my group even more.]
;W[ln]LB[mo:A]C[Immediately cut off any connection between these stones.
Leela now suggests A. This is a move not on my radar yet, though.
Why A? Because it seperates white?]
(;B[kq]C[But I find this move instead. Leela also finds this move, so it's good.]
;W[lp]C[Asking me to live small.]
;B[kl]C[I really don't want that group contained. My lower group is okay, for now. My right group is in danger, so run!]
;W[jn]C[Yes, threatning to attack my lower group while also keeping pressure on the other weak group.]
;B[lj]C[But I have a counter measure. ]
;W[mh]C[White has to defend.]
;B[pg]C[Not sure what I'm doing here. Not big-picture.]
;W[pf]C[Odd reaction.]
;B[qf]C[Atari.]
;W[qh]C[Save the one stone.]
;B[of]LB[og:A]C[And I catch that stone. A would also be possible.]
;W[og]C[Because now white has this move.]
;B[pe]C[Probably too slow.]
(;W[ph]C[But this is even worse (slower)]
;B[ng]C[Yes, of course.]
;W[oh]C[Slow but solid.]
;B[nh]C[Yes.]
;W[ni]C[Slow but solid.
Leela favors black again!]
;B[mg]LB[mi:A]C[Too soft. A is better now.]
;W[li]C[Good move.]
;B[lh]C[Okay-ish.]
;W[mi]C[White is crawling in ugly shapes.]
;B[il]C[I should've kept harassing it, but I run my group to safety instead.]
;W[kh]C[Gives white some breathing space.]
;B[lg]C[Solid.]
;W[kj]C[I made it too easy for white.]
;B[kk]C[Not the best move.]
;W[lk]C[This is okay.]
;B[ll]C[Don't want to lose connection.]
;W[mk]C[Small at this point.]
;B[nk]C[Not necessary.]
;W[mj]C[Though it forces white to take.]
;B[ij]C[I feel this is okay.]
;W[nm]C[Poking.]
;B[nl]C[I connect.]
;W[oo]C[What does this move accomplish? It maybe builds a few points of territory? Not my favorite move.]
;B[fr]C[I finally find time to play this important move. Gives me more of a base and undercuts white's corner.]
;W[kr]LB[dr:A]C[Attachment. I should react. (now I'm wondering, what if I give up that stones and play A instead?)]
(;B[jr]C[But I react and this is right.]
;W[lr]LB[dr:A]C[White pulls back, and now Leela likes A.]
;B[jp]C[Rather slow. It didn't feel exactly right when I played it, I played it too quickly.]
;W[er]C[Yes.]
;B[fq]LB[eq:A]C[Banging my head. This doesn't feel right but I didn't know what move was correct. Leela says A.]
;W[eq]C[Nice shape for white.]
;B[gp]C[Gotta make some eye space.]
;W[fo]C[This gives white a way into my group.]
;B[go]C[So why do I push white from behind into my own weakness? Wrong!]
;W[gn]LB[fn:A]C[Overplay, I could cut at A and connect to me group.]
;B[in]C[But I play this weird looking more. Thinking of connecting my two groups.]
;W[hn]C[That doesn't work, though.]
;B[ho]C[Too afraid of my group, ugly shape move.]
;W[io]C[Cut off.]
;B[jo]C[Wrong side. That group is already safe, stop worrying about it already!]
;W[im]C[Yup.]
;B[ip]C[I said stop worrying!
I had a nice lead so far, but these slow moves put me behind considerably. These exchanges might've cost me the game. I played an extra 4 moves for a 7-8 point group that was already rather safe.]
;W[in]C[Okay-ish.]
;B[gl]C[I guess that secures my group.]
;W[fm]C[That won't help.]
;B[fl]C[I'm connected.]
;W[em]TR[em]SQ[fl][dn]C[Even though I made the elephant's eye again and he can poke it.]
;B[dl]C[I'm okay.]
;W[el]C[He decides to poke immediately.]
;B[ek]C[I defend.]
;W[dm]C[And again.]
;B[cl]C[Safer move.]
;W[cm]C[Push.]
;B[bm]C[And connect.]
;W[fk]TR[gj][hj][gk]C[This doesn't work, white. It's a small ladder to read.]
;B[fj]C[Easy catch.]
;W[gk]TR[gm]C[White thinks he has something, but it's just a broken ladder. With an additional stone at the marked spot, okay, that would've been good.]
;B[hk]C[Step into my ladder.]
;W[gm]C[Atari?]
;B[hl]C[I'll just defend.]
;W[gi]C[Can I run out and split you?]
;B[gj]C[The answer has to be NO!]
;W[gf]C[Okay.]
;B[ih]C[Now I come back to pressure that white group.]
;W[hh]C[This doesn't do a lot.]
;B[ji]C[I think this is a good reaction.
Meanhile, on the Win Rate Histogram, Black's been at the advantage most of the game, with some moments behind but always kicking back. Now white has the advantage, though.]
;W[ki]C[Yes.]
;B[jg]C[Keep up the attack. Meanwhile white is not alive yet.]
;W[kg]C[But he can get out.]
;B[jd]C[I try to keep him from going.]
;W[kf]
;B[pb]C[But then I lose focus or something. I gotta keep pressure on that other group! Not good.
Even though the advantage is black's again.]
;W[jf]C[Good.]
;B[bo]C[Now I'm all over the place. I don't know what happened here. I make some strange moves.]
;W[bp]C[My opponent reacts.]
;B[do]C[Even weirder.]
;W[cp]C[What am I trying to accomplish? This is not where the action is!]
;B[ai]C[This IS NOT WHERE THE ACTION IS!]
;W[ao]C[This, too.]
;B[bh]C[I take a stone. Is that the most important move? One single stone? While I have two weak white groups to attack? Sigh.]
;W[bn]C[White takes and catches three additional stones.
I don't know what happened here. I was doing fine until now. Maybe my concentration was spent. On the other hand, I think my game clock has run out a few moves ago, so Byo-Yomi might scramble my positional judgement skills a bit.]
;B[am]C[Nooo! I had to unlearn this move. But I did it again. ]
;W[an]C[Oh well.]
;B[bk]C[Slow.]
;W[cg]C[Okay.]
;B[ag]C[Not really. Bigger things on the board.]
;W[fg]C[That's not it.]
;B[eg]C[Neither is that.]
;W[ig]C[A bit better. His group is safe now.]
;B[jc]C[So I go for the other weak group!]
;W[jb]C[But it's hard to attack outright.]
;B[hi]C[Byo-Yomi is now really in effect. I don't have time to read how to attack the top and get something good in return for it.]
;W[jh]C[White takes.]
;B[ii]C[And I fill.]
;W[ib]C[White is safe.]
;B[eh]C[Pushing.]
;W[ei]C[Block.]
;B[ef]C[Gotta defend.]
;W[fi]C[And defend.]
;B[hc]C[Hmm, not the strongest move.]
;W[gc]C[Connect.]
;B[hb]C[Okay-ish, but it doesn't do that much.]
;W[ha]C[White is connected.]
;B[hd]C[Hmmm...]
;W[ga]C[Slow.]
;B[oa]TR[ah][bh][ai][bi][an][bn][ao][bo]C[Better!
Though at this point, the game is over. Those silly moves at the marked area sunk black's advantage so far that he's behind a lot, now.]
;W[nb]C[Yes.]
;B[na]C[Small.]
;W[ma]C[Yes.]

*Series UpdateI'm not sure if I'll make 10 game reviews in those 16 days, I underestimated how much time it takes to play and make the review. But I decided that I might prolong the series even after my vacation on a slower pace. Because these game reviews are really helpful and I think other people here can also benefit from them.
So I'll definitely go to 10 reviews on my own pace, and I'll see how I continue from there then!
