My former classmate and former 1st class Korean Insei Hwang Inseong will replace Ilya in supergroup and A group.
Top 15 inseis will be able to play 4 teaching games (per person) with Hwang. Lower group inseis will get some teaching games with Hwang too (non-tournament games)

Natalya Kovaleva (Nata on KGS) will replace Ilya in groups B-E.

Ilya decided to visit Korea again and try to become 1p, so he will be very busy during the next few months.
He will probably make some game reviews, instead of simultaneous.

Another former 1st class insei Jang Bi (gentlerain on KGS) will also support the project and play some friendship games with inseis.

You will also see him in KPMC in Korea in October.
I am sure that Ilya improved a lot and he has some chances to beat Korean/Japanese/Chinese representatives and even get 1-st place!

We'll be rooting for our flamant new European champion! However I'll also root for Óscar Anguila, Spain's representative... :-)

BTW, Hwang Inseong came to Madrid in May to the XIII Tournament, which was also the Korean Ambassador Cup (with access to the KPMC), and we had a great time watching him walk over basically everybody ;-) I spoke to him for a while between games and he was kind and shy: pity I couldn't ask him for a teaching game... He did play Lluis Oh 6d, though, one of the top players in Spain and a fellow Korean player living in Barcelona who's also very kind and does a lot for Go in Spain; I am sure he enjoyed that game much more than a teaching game to a lowly kyuu like me; still it was very interesting to watch their reviewing, even if Korean without subtitles is hard to follow, ehem... :-)

good luck to all!

having the oppotunity to try this new version of Insei league (september), it's really better.
Hwang inseong is making a lot of commentaries (at least one after each simul) and describes well both technical and mental aspects. Also, with the new rules, you are very free to meet anyone you want (both supergroup and teachers without risk in league A). It is less a competitive league (still enough to have serious games) and more a teaching group.
Personnaly, having almost no time to play go currently, i will not participate in october but for those with a large amount of free time and wanted to improve, this league is a good deal.
