hi, i'm xDragon. ive been playing go since may 2009, and i hit SDK in january where ive stagnated due to being busy with school and overall laziness, much to the chagrin of my teacher.

the overall trend in my games is that i dont like getting into fights unless its needed, and tend to go for a more peaceful game..ive mostly had the tendency to build moyos but ive become dissatisfied with that as of late so i might not. although i could end up making one anyway.

i cant promise interesting commentary as im not one to go over tons of variations, but ill try to give my thought process..i do know its going to be tough not looking at the observer comments.

to the game, i always play star point first move as black. always. see what he does next...

There's really not much else to say for now.

a through c are the moves that I thought about initially here.

a - Like I said before I don't really like playing 4-4 points in the opening. I did say earlier that I would play the 4-4 point in the bottom right if he played a diagonal fuseki however looking at other options I decided against it. If I did play it I'd feel like I was playing the way he wants me to.

b - If I play either of the points labeled b he gets a good approach move just like in the top left. I don't want to give it to him.

c - If I play 3-3 and he caps it at 4-4 he'll probably get a position that works with both of his other 4-4 stones.

I decided I didn't like any of those moves in the end and wanted to try something different. I'm expecting him to take the last open corner. If he doesn't I'll try to take sente and get the corner myself.

With the approach I chose I would also like it if he approached at d later. Then a 3 space low pincer would give some support to my approach stone.

Hidden Section:

I'm not really sure how this will turn out. I don't usually play diagonal fusekis and when they're played against me I almost always take the last open corner.

You never have to play a diagonal fuseki again if you pick the right corner for W2...

I know, I just have to play the opposite corner. I don't really like taking the option of a diagonal fuseki away from my opponent though.
