Am I the only one?

I have become a bit of a collector of go equipment. Stones, boards, bowls, but also memorabilia (posters, watches, what else).
Yes, like many collections and collectors, it can grow out of hand, but am I the only one in this?
How many sets do you have?

I am a collector, but not of go-related stuff.

Still officially AGA 5d but I play so irregularly these days that I am probably only 3d or 4d over the board (but hopefully still 5d in terms of knowledge, theory and the ability to contribute).

Yeah, terrible

Enough sets to accommodate probably quarter of the kids in the village (if I count the school Go Workshop case with its 9x9 and 13x13 boards). Probably more than enough to read for a lifetime, paraphernalia like a fan with a quote by Cho Chikun or Lee Sedol, poetry, comics, Tsumego coasters, bumper stickers …

I have long collected go books. I started by collecting fiction and literature with mentions of the game. I have roughly 2000 books of that sort (although I have different editions of many; the number of distinct titles would be about 1/4 of that). Only after I started running out of new stuff in that catagory did I start on regular go books. I keep trying to get every book ever published in English as well as a smattering in other languages. I would say, based on the AGA bibliography and Theo van Ees's excellent bibliography. that I have over 90% of the items that can reasonably be defined as books. Of course, even if I got every book ever published in English in either of my collecting areas, I would be at a small fraction of T Chan's archive. He has the advantage, and disadvantage, of collecting in languages that have orders of magnitude more material to find. Incidentally, I was recently able to retire from employment because of a bit of a windfall. I will now have both more time and more money to seek out books. Anyone with access to obscure or unlikely go books in western languages is welcome to contact me about adding to my collection.

I am also a book collector. Not one so serious as Tchan, but I have got all books in English i was able to find (Ishi press, kiseido, yutopian, slate & shell, hinoki, etc) plus some Chinese, Korean and the main Japanese tsumego/life and death/tesuji and joseki books. Also all encyclopedias and some collection of games of old champions. But the most difficult ones to find was to complete my collection of the go super books. :)
