Some good advice so far.

I think the main thing is to know you'll get past it. I often have vicious losing streaks right before going up a rank... it just takes a while to process new ideas. Important thing is not to let yourself get so frustrated you give up completely. So taking a break may be the answer.

Two ideas if you don't want to stop completely:

1) make a silly account. Use it to play something very different from your usual games... blitz if you normally play slow, or 9x9, or experiment with really funky openings. Using this account, tell people that you're a couple stones weaker than you 'really' are. It's not sandbagging, because you can legitimately expect to play worse as you adjust to a new kind of game.

2) give teaching games. Crushing ddks is very therapeutic, and then they thank you afterwards. How sweet is that? Seriously, though, explaining concepts to weaker players is a great way to solidify them in your own mind. It'll boost your confidence tremendously as well, not to mention the good karma.

Good luck ^^.
