Bruce Lee was such an amazing person, because he combined his martial arts with philosophical interpretations. If you do not believe me, look up his famous quotes, e.g. on Wikiquote, and you will find a rich source of all kinds of wisdoms, mostly driven by his experience of fighting. Now, does such one also exists in Go? A player that used Go to philosophy and vice versa? I basically only know pro players that come across as very specialized in Go, but dull in all other topics. Just as a reference: The best I found ever about Go and Life and Philosophy so far: Read on KGS, account "betka". I guarantee you that these minutes won't be a waste^^. |

Pros will often sign fans with their favourite phrases and aphorisms which sometimes have a philosophical bent inspired by their Go. To appreciate them fully you'd probably need to understand Japanese. It's not philosophy, but among his numerous extra-curricular activities Fujisawa Shuko was well regarded for his calligraphy. |

O Meien's Zone Press Park is primarily about Go but it is also philosophical (and often amusing). |
