I was listening to a quantum mechanics lecture.. I got bored..

So I had an idea to create a 3d go game.

Here are some pictures, also is't white to play next so any suggestions?

Edit: After playing for a while all I can say is that this is crazy fun :D

On one plane you play an urgent move which causes bad things to happen on second plane and then you figure out that you passed in the third plane :O (since the stones overlap)

Also I played like 10 moves and the game became so complicated I had to quit.

While it looks like is't completely lost on one plane you can play such moves that do devastating stuff in other planes.

I can't imagine how the game must feel on 9x9.

9x9 would probably take geniuses or top level pros to understand even the slightest.

and 19x19 3d go is reserved for gods only.

Of course, many generalizations of go onto 3 dimensions and other general graphs have been considered before.

See, for example, the following
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Go_variant ... ard_boards
http://senseis.xmp.net/?UnusualGobans
among many other links that can be found via Google and Sensei's Library.

Note that adjusting the connectivity of the board can drastically affect the game, by changing the number of liberties and the difficulty of building walls or making connections.
