Hi all,

Please, excuse my ignorance, but I am wondering how to open a .prb file. If it is possible with any android program.

A friend borrow me an "ebook" called "Get strong at attacking" which its principal file seems to be "Get Strong At Attacking - Introduction.prb". It has ".go" files which I neither know how to open, ".sgf" files that I have to open one by one (quite annoying), and the metioned ".prb" files which seems to be kind of index ment to navigate through the whole book.

Can somebody help me?

Thanks in advance,

Y.

"The Many Faces of Go" uses the .go (ishi go file) and .prb (problem file) formats.

You can also just inspect them with a text editor (but you might spoil the answer if the problem is a tsumego).
So with a bit of time and effort, it shouldn't be hard to write your own converter...

WoW... $90... a bit too much.

I spend the whole working day programming, so it's not my first wish to go on when I arrive home.

Thank you for your advise, but I will wait for another alternatives. I have seen the raw file and I cannot believe that there is not any free software to visualize that properly (or a cheap one, something like $20-30 would be affordable).

EDIT: Sorry I didn't see the link, I'll check those programs...

There is also a free version available which might do the trick. http://www.smart-games.com/mfgo12-download.html

I don't think there is any legal way to borrow an electronic copy of that book in that format. That may also be limiting answers.
