Post subject:  Looking for a collection of dan games

Hello,

I've written a little website about Go, for which I need a collection of SGF files. The games would be displayed without any kibitz and should roughly be of (amateur) 1 to 9 dan level.

Does anyone already have a collection of such games to share, or know where to find it? I'm currently aware of one site offering KGS 6d+ games, which is great, but I'm looking for lower level games, too.

I also received permission from KGS to download and use any of their public games for this purpose, but other sources are fine with me, too, as long as they are, too. However, I do not want to use controversial game collections or step on anyone's toes.

I have recorded my tournament games for the last decade or so (so as I've gone from 2d (or maybe 7k if I did my earliest games) to 4d), I could send you those if you want, but I can't guarantee the order of late endgame moves is correct. I also often used my OGS games as example games in my teaching as they tended to be quite elegant and low on blunders (higher quality games than my real life ones) and created good shapes and positions for teaching. For what purpose do you want the games? Do you have some themes you want to illustrate e.g. here is how to reduce a moyo, here is an example of an invasion of blah blah shape, or here are 2 KGS 2ds playing crappy blitz?

Thank you! These are already sufficient for me.

Thank you for the offer, though thanks to the above links it's not even necessary.

Judging if '2 KGS 2ds playing crappy blitz' is quite close, actually (of course no names will be displayed). I'll post an update once the site goes live.

Ah, a guess the ranks of the players from their games site? That'd be fun.
