Hi All, I was curious if there were any members of the Go community who reside in Manhattan, New York and would be interested in a game (or two) in person? There is a Go Club called Gotham Go Group http://promotego.org/locations/gotham-go-group - that meets on Tuesday evenings, but maybe there is interest in an occasional one off game! Let me know if you'd like to get in touch! Best, Ryan |

I try to make it to the Hungarian Pastry Shop on Tuesday evenings--highly recommend attending if you can. Also, there is a tournament this Saturday. Details here: http://www.usgo.org/news/2013/09/gotham ... ctober-12/ I may be up for a game sometime. On weekends, if you're near the upper west side, there are places we could meet. During the week is more difficult, but I sometimes might be up for a game in midtown, near Bryant Park. |

I live pretty far away, but most likely I'll be comming for that tournament. Unfortunately I probably wont have time to stop for a game before or after unless I see you there. I'd be glad to play you between rounds. |

Chaos, I am registered for the tournament - I look forward to playing a few games that day, and I'd love to play you before rounds! Judicata, I do my best to try to make it up to the Hungarian Pastry Shop on Tuesdays. I made it there this week, and I plan to attend next week. I try to introduce myself to most of the people I meet while I am there - I look forward to meeting you the next time we are both there! |

It's looking iffy. I had to take my car into the shop. I've had really bad luck getting to tournaments lately. T.T but I'll challenge you at the next tournament near there. (not empty sky though tournament, cause that's waay further for me.) |

I haven't been in a few weeks. |

I'm going to be in Manhattan in a few months. Is anybody meeting on a Tuesday or Wednesday night? On Tuesday night, Brooklyn would be more convenient. |

There is a Brooklyn Go Club and some of the members even live in Brooklyn. Contact info can be found on the AGA club listing web page: http://www.usgo.org/where-play-go?state=NY#listing It seems to meet on Friday evenings but the people at the contact numbers might help you find a game. |

It is fairly close to the subway. |

I need some help with a retail problem. ***** EDIT: PLEASE IGNORE. PROBLEM SOLVED **** I'm in LAX right now, and I realized that I forgot my barcode scanner. I need to buy one in NY. I've been calling office supply stores in NY and all say that they don't stock them. I need a barcode scanner with a USB connector before 11am Wednesday . I'll be near Jarvits. Any ideas? Thanks. |

Have you looked online? http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=barcode+scanner+usb or another online retailer + super premium next-day morning delivery or even same day delivery if it's still available may do the trick. Places that are more geared towards business customers may be able to work more magic with shipping speed, also. |

If you haven't found a scanner yet, try B&H, which has an enormous electronics store on 34th and 9th. I don't know exactly what you're looking for, but USB bar code scanners appear on their website, which means they should sell them. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/ |

I had scrolled past them, thinking that they were only photo equipment. They have what I need. |
