White's left side group needs to pay attention to its eyespaces. Should it play ''a'', ''b'' or ''c''? White's choice lost another 9 points here. |

A will hurt group on left. B wont gain much needed eye. C is using opponent's weakness to gain eye space in sente. |

As far as I can see, there is no move on the left that will both secure a second eye and not make A10 or A11 sente. We should look very hard at the top. The point about 'c' is that Black cannot cut at 'b'. But what happens then? I don't think that Black could play  at  , as then the centre group doesn't look healthy:Is this the right  ? What other resistance might Black try?
