I love Go. I love L19. It's a New Year, and a time for happiness and looking forward to all sorts of things, Go improvement being one of them. I've read a few recent posts by people being dissatisfied about their improvement, and so I've decided to offer a free teaching game + review (90 minutes or so) to the most frustrated sounding person of 5k or weaker. Go shouldn't be dissatisfying regardless, but I promise this once I'll try and keep my philosophical Go ranting to a minimum, and the educational Go value to a maximum ![]() |

I just failed to achieve my goal of SDK by new years by a full 2 stones... that was pretty frustrating. |

Not to hijack topaz's thread, but I'd also be glad to play a game or two with review with anyone who's interested. I'm probably not as good a teacher as he is though. |

Free teaching games galore? I like! I'm pretty dissatisfied with my go improvement. In fact, there has been little to none in the past year. (I blame video games in general and starcraft 2 in particular.) I would love to play a teaching game with someone quite a bit stronger than I am. And since this seems to be the spirit of this thread, and just because it is good practice, I will gladly play a teaching game with someone a couple of stones weaker than I am. And why wait? I am available tomorrow. Thanks for the generous offer, topazg (and other players offering their services here). |

If thats cool with you then what time tomorrow is good? I am free whenever but I probably wont be awake before 10am GMT depending on your timezone that will most likely be easy to work around. Also, not wanting to break the chain although I am probably one of the smallest fish in this particular pond I am happy to do a teaching game with any complete newbs (20k or less I guess). |

I'm willing to give a teaching game* to anyone willing to learn. *Warning: I have no teaching experience |

I will take a lesson from somebody that thinks they can teach me. I will give a lesson to somebody that thinks they can learn from me. To contact me faster than via the forum, email me. My email address is my username on this forum, followed by the letter "b". The domain is "umich.edu". |

Neither a request nor an offer, just a big thumbs up for topazg and his pedagogy. He's without a doubt one of the best teachers out there. Anyone lucky enough to be one of his students knows what I'm talking about. |

How about the Go Teaching Ladder? http://gtl.xmp.net/ They have hundreds of members, including several very strong players. No need to reinvent the wheel ![]() |
