Last joseki for Black was fine, but k4 was the wrong direction. White can continue d6. |

I don't know about the black 34 approach, I don't think it is considered joseki, I have played it myself in the past, with decent results I would add, but it seems not recommended at pro level so I stopped doing it. I sometimes see players pull this against my San-San, which is pretty much the same formation, and definitely isn't joseki, but it may only cost a few points, and not really be noticed as a mistake if one isn't playing at a certain level, plus I'm not sure exactly how to respond so, it has that advantage. |

Although G3 was played by professionals, it does not happen very often. You can get a first impression of the Joseki here: http://dailyjoseki.com/browse/bwpwxibwnwwmbxjwvsbwo But even better when you look it up in a Joseki dictionary. |

G3 is a play when there are already other stones close by. Below the exchange of 1 for 2 finishes things locally and White turns elsewhere... With a wider corner descending at F2 or connecting at G5 are common alternatives: |
