Yamashita Keigo wins 4-2 against Iyama Yuta. He now holds the titles of Meijin and Honinbo.

Results and the game records can be found on the Asahi Shinbun website: http://www.asahi.com/igo/

I'll make SGFs of the games later (unless someone else has them) but I don't have time now.

All we need is Judan now. Shame that it won't happen next year.

I think it's great that they always show the lunch.

Jing posted the final game and some photos in her article; Yamashita Keigo wins 36th Meijin, if you still want the game.

I didn't expect Yamashita to win. Even after three losses I thought Iyama would be able to fight back... I'm probably reading too much into things, but I wonder whether we'll we see Yamashita breaking through at an international level now? Or perhaps it's something about Iyama's skill in faster paced games that makes him more competitive internationally?

Iyama's career the last year has been one hell of a rollercoaster. He defends his Meijin, crashes out of the LG Cup against an out-of-form Lee Changho in 100 moves, gets third in the Fujitsu, then loses his Meijin title to Yamashita.

At least he'll most likely win the Tengen against Yuki Satoshi.

That will be fun to watch since I kinda/sorta root for both Iyama Yuta and Yuki Satoshi.
