Gu Li won the first match by resignation.

It's a bit confusing, though, because it seems very close for a resignation. Playing the game out, I have white (Gu Li) as winning by about a point.

I am wondering if there is some sequence I am missing.

Apart from reducing Black's upper left corner in sente, White has K12 next (says the commentary).

Hmm, assuming by K12 you mean K14 (K12 is occupied by a black stone as is K13 on the board I was viewing), I thought it only amounted to a point in sente. Of course, I could be very wrong. :D

I do mean K12 (using the HJK notation), nobi upwards from his lone stone in the centre (which thus connects up).

I see, Tygem includes and "I" file so I was looking in the wrong place. Anyway, that is the move I missed -- quite obvious, though. Thanks for the help.

It was very difficult game for Lee SeDol. I went to sleep(3am) 2 3rd into game believing that the game was over(Lee losing). It is unbelievable that Lee won the game.

4th game;

Gu Li won the game. It was game of battle after battle through out the game. Battle of will.

Indeed it was trout! The game finished just after I got back from work and I'm still trying to get my head around it. I'm glad they're going to play the full five rounds. :)

Here's the game record: 3rd BC Card Cup - Game 4 - Gu Li vs Lee Sedol

After seeing the 4th game today, Gu Li is definitely the best baduk player in the world.

Do you know if they are some video about the game ?

In many occations, Gu Li admitted that Lee Sedol is a little bit stronger. He always regards Lee Sedol as his aim and tried very hard to catch up.
In fact Lee Sedol is much stable than Gu li. Gu Li was too careless when he was in good situation on board, lost too much games to players much weaker than him.
Both of them are great players, and win/lost between them just decided mostly by luck

Lee Sedol won the 5th game by resign and got 3rd BC card cup. In early stage, Gu Li played some strange move at upper side causing demise.

very exciting game to watch.

for the beginners:
if black and white didnt trade group at the end it would have been about 3.5 point win for black.(which is a safe margin at their level)
white tried hard by making things complicated but black simply exchanged group and maintained safe margin.

just to show you how thin the winning margin was.

Finally Lee Sedol won.

I noticed Lee sedol was very concentrated for territory only. He avoid some fighting, and Gu li, is better on fighting.

I thought thee exchange was a bit better for black.

Anyway, I'm glad this series went the full five games. They were all very entertaining.
