That scenario will be prevented by the format of the tournament.

Players in each group are numbered from 1 to 4 in the round of 32.

First, 1 plays 2 and 3 plays 4. Let's say that 1 and 3 win.
Second, the first-round winners are paired and the first-round losers are paired. So 1 plays 3 and 2 plays 4. Let's say that 1 and 2 win.

Now, 1 has two wins and automatically moves on to the round of 16 without playing the third game. Also, 4 has two losses and drops out without playing the third game. Finally, 3 and 2 play each other to determine who moves on to the round of 16. This seems to be how the Samsung Cup is run.
