Problem #30: This looks like fun. It might work.
The simple pull back does not work for white:
So maybe white tries the counter attack, but leaves the aji at J17
Now it is two kos. I'm not really sure how this ends. |

Actually if White makes the exchange a-b first then Black does have to pull back at
This might finish with a seki by double ko (with Black taking sente)? Not absolutely sure. |

Yeah getting the 1st line hane.
Now black has the hane-capture and this very botty-clamp. I have lost a few capturing races to bots when they pull something like this but I am sort of lost.

I thought this makes the corner alive, but the weakness at 'a' is a bit annoying. Maybe that's the price to pay, though.

Problem #31, White to play. Interesting life and death situation on the bottom right.
Possible answer:
Black's side group is dead. The goal of the exchange is to avoid sequences such as
however White could have made the exchange a-b at anytime. |

Problem #33, Black to play. This one was DDK level, how could I miss it?

I wouldn't say DDK level. I fell into the temptation to be too clever... First attempt (wrong)
It's cute that doesn't capture . One of my favourite shapes. But...
Oops Second attempt
Now 'a' and 'b' are miai. |

Problem #35. This is from a correspondence game on OGS, 1d vs 2d, I was Black. We both misread the following life and death problem. White to play.
In the game White played M17 What is then the status of the white group, and what is the correct response for Black? Answer
After the game move, White is dead.

I didn't show the whole board so there is not enough information to determine who wins the ko. Anyway what I missed in the game was that I could get a ko. |
