Gogameguru announced that they will be switching their sgf viewer over to Glift in the near future. It looks a lot like the sgf editor I had envisioned one day building, and while it still needs polishing I'm excited about the potential it has for go related web sites. What are your impressions? |

I think I saw this on Facebook yesterday, had a quick look, was not impressed. Its not bad or anything, but I see no reason to use it. The viewing part is just click forwards/backwards with comments, like any other sgf viewer out there. The teaching functionality sounds nice, but right now there is not really enough stuff on it. If they flesh it out, it might be worth using, but right now this offers nothing that we don't already have. |

I think it looks great, which is half the battle. It needs tweaking, but has great promise. If you have any suggestions to make it better, comment on the GGG post linked to by OP. The developer seems quite responsive. |

It also is on GitHub and have a issue cue which is always good. A lot of thoose also seems to come from the reddit r/baduk post about it (like the forum parser) |

I did a quick look at this one but at a first glimpse, I would miss a tree component to display variations. for now I'm still with eidogo and WGo.js for my projects. |

Hey, developer here! Yes, feel free to file bugs/issues at www.github.com/kashomon/glift. Our top priority is to: - Add tooltips to the icons (done) - Provide a previous-branch-or-comment and next-branch-or-comment buttons for the game viewer. - Change the restart button for Problems to back-one - Add coordinates for the purpose of game review. > The teaching functionality sounds nice, but right now there is not really enough stuff on it Yes, that's fair. It's still in alpha, so stay tuned. But, even when this is 'done' it won't be as feature rich as eidogo. In the end, if it's very satisfying as a mobile viewer and reasonably satisfying as a desktop viewer, I'll be happy =). Josh |

> Will there be a viewable game tree? Not in the near future. The biggest problem is that it's hard to figure out a nice UI for the tree that will work with both mobile and desktop. The limited space on mobile (especially phones) makes a tree view hard to do. |

That's what the download link is there for. Do you really think having the game tree on page is an important requirement when desktop software and mobile apps are always going to offer a better experience to people who want those kinds of (for want of a better term) 'power user' features? This isn't a rhetorical question, I'm genuinely interested in hearing your opinion. |

Go programs aren't available. I could load the game directly in eidogo using that download link, but it always feel odd when sites regress in functionality to me. |
