Hello all, I was wondering if there is a way/place/process to play go games on my iphone with folks, one play at a time and just keep the game going over days/weeks. For example on my iphone I have words with friends a very popular scrabble game that allows you to place one letter, then it gets sent to your opponent, and then they respond when they can. I would love to do this with go since with a two small babies at home I do not have 1 hour straight to devote to a game, but I often find 10-15 min chuncks in the day that I could review a game and play. Is there a way/place that does this, I have SmartGo Pro and Tetsuki on my phone so I can login to IGS and play games, but I don't think anyone there is into playing basically a no time limit game. Thanks, |

Try Boardz. There is also a DGS client (I haven't tried it, because it requires an OS upgrade). |

Boardz allows up to six days per move. I think that is plenty of time. As for DGS, I have not tried the client either... I really don't want to upgrade to 4.0... |

I'm in the same place about upgrading to 4.0, with the DGS client making me lose my resolve. On the other hand, I hear 4.1 will fix the problems the 3G has with 4.0. |

I completely understand: i'm a grad student with a baby at home. If you haven't used the Dragon Go Server, you should definitely check it out. It's a turn-based server and is great for fitting games into tight schedules. I've been using the DGS client (free) on my ipod touch and it works pretty well. It's not as full-featured as tetsuki, but it has become my main way of checking on my games. |
