Alright I have the program "Go Elementary Training & Dan level Testing" and I purchased a new Pc some time ago then moved and finally dug out the program. Well the program will not work with my new computer I am aware that it is issues with the Operating system. I have Win 7 Pro 64bit, and understaning that this program will not run on anything other than a 32bit or older. I have tried all of the Compatibility modes that windows offers even the compatability trouble shooter and nothing works. I am currently trying Windows virtual PC to see if it will run it but currently I am still getting Virtual pc running, it is wanting to boot correctly. So if anyone can help that would be great, any ideas, thoughts, or any know how on what to do would be helpful. Thanks! |

I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for though. I wonder if you can run WINE under windows. ![]() |

Go Grinder is good. I extracted them a while ago but trying to veiw them one by one with a sgf veiwer is bothersome. Gogrinder does not want to import Sgf files only .gxp or .ggs?? Help with that. |

Help with that. I'm using GoGrinder via Android and not PC, so I can't help much there. Sorry. I love the problems, but I was never too crazy about the software. |

Yea the software seems to be rather poor after trying to work with it. GoGrinder would be good if it could do everything it says it can do. Getting problems in is like a 10k trying to prove a Pro wrong about a move, it is futile. It can split Go problems from a Sgf if you have an sgf that is compiled with a collection of problems but it just creates an sgf per problem and even though it says you can import sgf files you cannot the program it just wont you. And WINE doesnt work with windows unfortuantly. So back to square one. Thank you though for the ideas. |

You could try running it in a virtual machine, but you may need an original 32-bit Windows version. If you'd like to look into it, a good starting point is this URL: http://www.virtualbox.org/ |
