Turned from yew, looks like about $700.

from fountain pen geeks site:
http://fpgeeks.com/2011/12/the-pilot-ichii-wood-fountain-pen/

One of Pilot’s newest pens, based on the 845, is made from Taxus Cuspidata or Japanese Yew. The origin of the name of the tree, “Ichii,” is from a story told concerning the Heiji Emperor. About 800 years ago, when the Emperor was presented with a scepterade [sic] of this wood at his coronation, he greatly appreciated its superior quality. The wood so out-shined other woods in use at the time that the Emperor gave the tree the name “Ichii,” after the official bureaucratic status called “Sho-ichii.”

The Pilot Ichii Wood fountain pen features an 18k solid gold nib and utilizes the CON-70 style converter. It’s approximately 16mm in diameter and 147mm long making it similar to the size of the Pelikan M1000, i.e., a large pen.

Why would I want a nice fountain pen to go with a floor board? Not exactly a must have accessory for go.

But if you really wanted to splurge for a fantastic fountain pen to go with a fantastic floor board, it's probably even higher class to go with a nice maki-e Namiki Emperor.

With the Mikura Island Mulberry pen from Sailor, the "Shima Kuwa," you can record your greatest victories in style, (for the price of a nice kaya go board.)

Well, I have my telescopic Parker Esprit in red (I wanted black but could not find it). I'd rather pay like 35€ for an awesome pen like this that fits any pocket and spend the big money in other things ;)

Think Pilot would be interested in being a go sponsor?

I am incredibly happy with my classic pen. It writes, and is very easy to carry around. Best of all its built tough, and costs next to nothing.

I'm guessing you're not in the target audience. :)

I'll take that in with a fine or extra-fine nib, please!

I am in favor of a motion to nib this in the bud before it gets out of control.
