I am looking at buying a set from YMI. Have the following questions: 1. Looks like Yunzi stones are the place to start. Is that correct? 2. Are convex or double convex better for beginners? Or is it just a matter of preference? 3. Looks like the boards come in .8 and 2.0 thickness. What are the benefits of the 2.0 board, or just personal preference? Thanks in advance! |

Enjoy your new set! The advantage of single convex is they can be turned over for different variations for studying. The double convex definitely have a nice esthetic value. |
