We are a group of Go players and enthusiasts in the Nottingham and Derby area (UK) who meet to play, have fun and improve our Go. We meet every Tuesday at the Dice Cup Cafe on Mansfield Road and normally every Wednesday at the Last Post in Beeston. Please check with our Facebook Group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/nottinghamgoclub) or our Yahoo Group - Notts Go Club: (https://beta.groups.yahoo.com/neo/group ... oclub/info) before attending to ensure that someone will be there to give you a game. We have lots of boards and stones and are always happy to teach new or returning players! |

We now have a club website where we will be posting the odd article from time to time, and you can also find out about events, and there is also a variety of mug shots in the gallery for your viewing entertainment. https://www.nottinghamgoclub.co.uk/ |

On Saturday, we had the Nottingham Go Tournament and Kyu Training Day, our first tournament in Nottingham in 10 years. Over 30 Go players from Nottingham, London, Manchester, Birmingham, Brighton, Lincoln, Sheffield, Leamington Spa, Letchworth, Durham and Loughborough attended the event. There were 3 training sessions in the morning, followed by a 3-round, 30 minute blitz tournament in the afternoon. Afterwards, around a dozen Go players went for a few pints in Nottingham and a curry at a local restaurant. Here are a few photos from the event:
