This is a game that I lost badly. One thing led to another, as it so often does.

So I am asking for help about the start of the trouble, at move 28 in the game record.

Thanks

What's wrong with the result in the game? Looks pretty great for black. But at :b41:, maybe just connect at Q15 instead.

I agree with Sennahoj. It could be that there's a better way for b to deal with w's departure from the joseki, but until move 45 (which I would play at Q15 to keep b stones connected), the result doesn't strike me as bad for b.

Maybe it can be improved if you used 35 to cut at M14 and take the stones in a ladder if w doens't want to lose the M15 stone.

Yeah, like others said no major boo-boos until 45 GAME OVER! INSERT COIN TO CONTINUE!

Your suggestion for next time of the wedge of d for 28 is very bad though, white just ataris at n16 and is connected and black cuts himself.
Possibly 31 at n15 is slightly better, and 35 m14 cut is nicer style.
r18 at r15 might be better, and q15 instead is easy.

I think that it is definitely better. :w32: at n15 gives White the edge, IMO. Then :b29: looks bad.

Agreed. You did not leave me with much to say. ;)

I do think that the one space pincer is not so good with the White enclosure in the top left corner. White is too strong there. IMO Black should play the two space high pincer or the three space pincer. For :b29: I would like to play the clamp (B), but after the White descent and Black cut, White can connect to the corner enclosure.
