Not the prettiest game but then it's rare to be able to see double ko in a game. Hopefully beginners will be able to see what it means to play with a double ko in your favor. You can answer any ko threat anywhere anytime because you have infinite ko threats from your double ko. Enjoy.

I'm not sure this is a good example of using double ko as threats - seems more like your opponent tried to win the double ko for some reason and ended up collapsing due to ridiculous moves XD

Btw, there shouldn't have been double ko - move 54 removed your own liberties. So it was actually favourable for your opponent.

I did enjoy seeing the unkillability of the double ko demonstrated, but illuck makes a good point, which I've tried to illustrate with this variation of move 54: White is already unkillable.

Thanks for the comments. Wasn't the prettiest game and I made huge mistakes as pointed out, but if it weren't for the purpose of illustrating the concept of how to use a favorable double ko, it wouldn't really be a game worth posting at all.

I think the problem is that your opponent (besides giving you several moves elsewhere just to set up the double ko) never actually tried to use his position to win a ko elsewhere on the board!

Your opponent reminded me of a misguided bot. That every time it takes the ko hopes you will accidentally ignore. White was alive, and black never even used the ko threats. He could have traded bottom left against bottom right.

Here's a game of mine with a double ko which wins me the game. Also, this is probably my greatest comeback ever, especially since my opponent is 6 dan and, at that time, reigning Dutch champion.

At move 92, the game is utterly lost for black (me). But, since my opponent has just entered byoyomi of 1x20s, I decide to make a last desperate attempt.

At move 179, my desperate attempt to save my group has failed, but yielded double ko. This is interesting enough to keep going.

At move 209, I go all out, because I need to. I have read the sequence up to ca. move 240 and think I can therefore play this.

At move 222, the power of the double ko does its magic, white cannot play P19 due to ko.

At move 261, I actually get to use it in the endgame.

In the end, I managed to salvage a 2.5 point win :)
