Hey guys!

Yesterday I played against a 1-dan at our local go meeting. I pushed myself to read as much and as accurate as possible, but the only that was left to read was that my top left group is dead :grumpy: So I resigned after B-119.
Afterwards we discussed the position in the top left corner and agreed on my stones being dead. Is this correct? And is my group really alive after the variation on move B-114?
Furthermore, was it good to tenuki with :b18:?

Looks like the top left is at least ko. There are many complicated variations:

Thank you very much for your insight! Your variations are actually not that complicated if you see them, but I wasn't able to see them in the game. Although I hoped to eventually live in a ko, a 4 dan saying it's complicated makes the solution more bearable to miss.

Regarding 18:

So early in a high handicap game, there are many moves that lead to a forced win, and 18 is certainly one of them. You could also choose to continue attacking (perhaps 18 at H17?) but this is more a matter of style in my opinion. I think 18 is fine.

However I do think that 16 is not good. You peep on the side where your stones are strong, gaining nothing for yourself, and making the white stones stronger.
