I am 8k now on KGS so nothing special, but I last played a game with a 9k I know he started a bit earlier to play then me and we met in the ASR League and now played our first games (non-ASR games, but free) together, we played at all 3 games.

In the first game he slaugthered me, in the second I won and the third too, but in the second he said he did after the first game not expect such a ""good"" play and holded a bit back. So I was quit nervous before the third game, but think I did good and it was quit even after the opening and in the beginning of the middle game (?)


We both had 30 minutes, and 5x30 byo-yomi, I don't know if this is considered blitz, I hope not. I made sure many mistakes and would generelly hear about them too, but also about the opening in general and how to invade and/or if my play at R12 (24) is okay, or if its really bad? After the game he said that he could have done much better and showed me some moves (I could not stay because I had to go to sleep) (btw I deleted all comments here in the .sgf would just distract) and he also said that for example one should not play L17 but K17? I am just very unsure about my play style because he started a bit earlier then me to play go : / Maybe you could also show some better moves for black, so I could learn also from them? I know a review is a lot of work so you don't have to make a deep review, or if 30minutes are considered Blitz here, because I won and I know that you in fact don't post games where you won "high" but because he slaughtered me in the first game and also thought that he was ahead in this game I am very unsure if I just had luck because he did not play in my weaknesses or very light headed(?) So if you could say something about blacks greatest mistakes and mine it would be really nice from you.

As a help for the reviewer(s):

Is my opening okay for a 8k? What is my greatest mistakes+blacks and is the move at R12 at turn 24 okay? I am not very good at doing reduction/invasion I think. What to do after 51? I think I am now behind in territory? Maybe I should have better played C8 or C10? And black could have reacted better (or did good?) on my shoulderhit? Would also be nice about to hear what you think about the "fight" in turn 86 L4. Maybe also book recommendations would be nice to improve a bit. And I know I must work on my tsumego/life and dead play/reading in general, more tsumego problems in the week for me Maybe you have recommendations here too? I do at the moment Cho enyclopedia of dead and Life or so its called I think. But maybe you know also tsumego problems where one maybe have not enough eye space but must find a way out or something like that?

I would also be glad to hear comments from players around the same strength! So don't be shy please.

Ps: Was O3 already a big mistake, because he could just jump directly between my stones? And as you can see, I used 20minutes, and he much much less but did much better and I made terrible mistakes..
