Another game! I'm really loving this site. So much valuable insight.

Any comments are appreciated. I know both of us made some large mistakes through the game.

A couple of specific questions if you have time:
1) B17-W18 exchange alright? Other better moves? I thought it was necessary in case white played P3.
2) B31. I was either going to play there or around where white played next. Thought it a kind of miai.
3) Better ways to deal with W38? I didn't know any joseki; kind of an unusual move. Followed as if it was a keima.
4) Could I have handled the K13 invasion better? Was it necessary?
5) Perhaps B93 at J7 or so instead of protecting one stone was a better option. I there anything I could have done better concerning the central lower left section?

Thank again in advance guys! I really appreciate it

Hi Cynosure,

:b11: fighting spirit, but maybe impatient.
Just fix your own shape first, P2.
Then, W still has to take care of his group,
starting with :white: R7, etc. As White settles,
you naturally profit on the upper right direction.
Your P2 group is settled, and you profit, so you have nothing to complain about.
If you enjoy the Chinese Opening, you may want to study up on some of the standard shapes.

( :b17: - :w18: ) standard bad habit & bad exchange for B. You think about why. :)
If you worry about :white: P3, then you see why :b11: at P2 is one joseki shape.

:w24: W can start a ko with S8.

:b25: if you're not going to save the stone, then what's the point of :b21: ?

:b31: strange.

:b33: floater: it doesn't do much. ( Just kind of floating there. )

:b35: almost unbearable. :)

( :b39: - :w40: ) this exchange makes :w38: efficient. You helped W.

:w42: endgame move; too early. Gote. B would tenuki.

:b43: Too small, too slow right now. Look at the whole board.

:w44: another floater, like :b33: .
