Hi. I played this interesting game recently and I'm wondering what I could've done better. The situation seemed bad for black from the beginning, so any help is appreciated. I hope you can give me some ideas. This was a pretty crazy game ![]() https://gokibitz.com/kifu/Vy6APqC6e

Yeah, it looks like you're right. Can cut and ladder. Mistakes were made in this game. I think I was on autopilot for that sequence, but no excuse is valid for missing that. |

At move ![]() You know how pros rarely have this large scale fights from the opening? It's because it's impossible to play them out so that both players get equal results ![]() I try not to get into those kind of fights since it's like gambling. |

2kyuish 2cents: ![]() ![]() move 103 and following: It's pushing from behind and again, I don't like the direction. You play on neutral territory. Your central group is OK. At the worst he can squeeze it, so that you have to capture his stones. His left side group is pathetic anway. So, time to wreck the top: I'd consider E14 as a splitting attack or a direct invasion F16 or F17. |

I thought that white 6 was in the wrong place. The black shimari in the upper right faces southward, so if white is going to play a side star point, it should be R10, not K16. Given that slightly tepid move, and the fact that you are black, it feels like it is time to do something aggressive with move 7. But C14 just exchanges one tepid move for another, giving white a change to take sente. I would have probably played 7 at C6, or maybe F3. |
