I probably overplayed here and there. But it was fun. Any comments are welcome.

Really nice opening by the way. I much prefer Black after 40 moves.

:b43: feels like it should be J5 - that seems to make bD6 wE6 bF5 a pain for White without actually starting a weak group fight. By 74 you feel ripped off somehow.

:w50: at E5 feels much more severe somehow.

White chose a funny, game-crippling "joseki" in the top left

:b93: at H15 feels more severe because of his floating 4 stones lower down?

By :w94:, you feel badly outnumbered. Maybe at E12 to fix first?

White should play at F12 anywhere between moves 100 and 110

E12 at 114 is still very awkward for Black.

I would like to see someone strong comment on black 19. Is this a new joseki?

c7 is what I am used to seeing - and c7 has the advantage of shutting down alot of aji against the corner.

Still Joaz's move has a certain appeal - if a strong player cannot demonstrate a huge flaw...

I agree, C7 is what I expect to see. The only thing I dislike about Joaz's move is that it leaves a fair bit of aji around C10 because White can then hit in at C7. However, I'm not qualified to see if Joaz's move is better in some circumstances.

I did note that there might be some overplays. I only took that risk because of the D16 stone. If the upper left were white or empty, I never would have tried it.

FWIW: Looking at dailyjoseki, C7 is the second most common reply. The most common is to tenuki.

I found the huge flaw. White plays C7, black must block at D7. Next white plays C5. Black must block again. Then B6 is atari and black's position is a wreck.

Black should respond to C7 with B7:

The result is, IMO, inferior for Black to the usual results here, but at least it isn't devastating.

Other general comments:

:b23: is too early. White has nothing devastating here, and there are huge tracts of unexplored edge beyond yonder hills (i.e. in the upper right).

:w38: is a huge mistake, r7 is the only move here.

:b45: Well, now your c7 problem is fixed :)

:b83: Should hane, the cut is unreasonable. Perhaps even double hane :)

:b93: Correct shape is L15

:w94: White should play L15 and sacrifice.

:b95: Wrong side, should be K14, attack on a global scale.

:w96: Should be K14, the white center stones do not cut anything important and can be efficiently sacrificed with E9 etc. later

:b101: Bad shape. You can lean with M16.

:w104: Horrible, should be M14.

:b135: proper shape would be G18

:b147: Always take the ko once!

:b161: Game over

:b175: B6 is sente for the cut at E5...

:b187: The geta works if you want these stones

Thanks, everyone.

I can't believe that I overlooked the fact that I could take the ko.

:b67: at H5? Or did you consider the stones dead anyway and you wanted to prevent white from building thickness?
