14: Why make weaknesses in your position? Everytime that he crawls on the 3rd line and you march along the 4th, you gain a net profit. Obviously, he makes 2 points per move. Your influence is generally judged to be 2.5 or more per move. On a board this open, my gut says that it is worth more like 4 points per move.
Just keep marching along the 4th line, solid and strong. ( He can't skip to H17 because you have the ladder going down to the southeast. )

20: Good, so far. Your influence is worth more than his territory.

22: Arrggghhhh! You're creating another cutting point for him! Just play H17.

24: Just fix the cut.

28: You're potentially in a liberties race. True, you do need to move out, but do in in a way that fills his liberties. Play D14 or B14.

30: Your shape is starting to look like a crane's nest ( see SL ). So you should reflexively occupy one of the bamboo joints or E13.

38: Get out with G13.

40: Again, G13

42: Ok, you got locked in. That is bad, but you can still claw your way out with G12 followed by H13.

48: If you can get something for them, F11 is slightly better.

58: You're getting locked in again...

60: Now you are locked in. Instead, you must play K15 and try to get out.

72: You can't ignore C10. It threatens D12/C11, at which point you are locked in yet one more time.

79: Joseki for him is S6 or R9. When he does play S6, it is soon followed by R9 or R10. He needs to do one of those so that you don't lock him in with R9 yourself.

80: Your best play is probably to try to keep yourself connected with
S5. It gets tricky, but as long as you kill R7/R8 or get R3 you should be ok.

98: You can save your five stones with Q9.

118: R19/S19 are miai; T18/T17 are miai; T15/T16 are miai; so he has eyes at T19 and S17. Tenuki, and save these attacks for ko threats.

158: This is a 2-point move - if you live. Making eyes with A8 is probably safest, although since you are behind, you can engage in a running fight with E6.

160: You are getting locked in yet one more time.


The major problem in your game is that you are not making connections. You're leaving easy cutting points for him when there are two groups to be connected, and you are not getting your groups running to the center to have the potential to make future connections.
