Hi,

I've played an ASR game where neither I nor my opponent had a good strategy against Blacks Q16/R10/Q4 fuseki (he told me so in the review). It would be nice if anyone could comment on this and give a few pointers.

Thanks,
Michael

PS: M17 was a missclick and should have been at M16 :D

Shoulder-hitting a weak stone is almost as bad as attaching to it. Did you consider counter-pincering instead? If you are uncomfortable counter-pincering here you should perhaps just invade 3-3 when he pincers you.

The sequence starting at q12 makes Black's territory more solid, just skip it and approach/invade his lower corner.

I did, but felt that a counter-pincer with my weak group against black's corner won't work.

Yes, although that's the standard response I felt that black's influence would be way too big.

I agree with everything Sverre said, and have added a few more comments as well. I hope they're useful to you.
