;B[os]C[Classic follow-the-opponent mistake, very bad. There's no reason to play here, all it does is make white live in the corner, but then you have to take gote to play P3.
In contrast, if you play P3 straight away white *still* has to live in the corner (or you play S2 yourself, then you can tenuki and play something much bigger than the tiny P1 move.]BL[2064.98]

;B[hq]C[Kicking your opponent from underneath like this is usually not good. It asks white to play G3, which he wants to play anyway because it hurts the H3 stone and threatens a slide to E2 or whatever to maybe make eyespace.
If you want to play a move like this, why not just play J3? It takes away white's eyespace just as well, but doesn't become a bad move if white descends.]BL[1943.62]
;W[gq]WL[1834.03]
;B[eq]C[This is a bit redundant since you already protected the corner with C3, plus the H3 stone is a little weak now because it's touching white's strong stones. If you'd just played J3, that wouldn't be an issue.]BL[1933.88]

You would have won if you played the vital point to kill white's big group, but you were distracted first by following white elsewhere and later simply forgetting to read it. I'm sure you can find the vital point if it's just a life and death problem. Don't follow your opponent around! And don't believe them just because
they think their group is safe.
