This friday the first round starts in Strasbourg. Now I was wondering whether anyone knows why they suddenly chose to show the games on the korean WBaduk server instead of KGS. After all the CEGO-reviews, games and "Euro Dream Team" training were actually on KGS so far.

By the way, the information policy seems somewhat lacking, or not?

Maybe wbaduk bought the broadcast rights to the games? I will be at work and unable to watch them.

On the plus side this should dislodge my embarrassing flailing in the Wbaduk Varsity match from the most recent spot in the amateur gibo list in the Wbaduk app!

Now I had to check the game :D G16 seems to blame (It didn't seem "specially" risky :|), but I can't help liking the way the group is separated and killed. Now you should post a good game from your side to compare ;)

I think playing two 3+ hour games earlier in the day at the London open was more to blame ;-)

:D That sounds quite like it, yes. I'm not sure I could play one 3+ hour game...

By the way, the players are marked as 1p right now, so maybe it will still be there for a few more weeks ;)

Since watching live has proven to be impossible for me (the WBaduk registration procedure is too slow and I am waiting for a checksum of the installer, to start with the PC security problems I am going to try and possibly overcome), I wonder if the games will at least be published.

Not sure what registration procedure you refer to, but if it's for an account to log in to the game server, I just registered one within about a minute, on their website http://www.wbaduk.com. Then you can fill in that name+password in the client software to login.
If you have PC security issues, you could install it in a virtual machine such as http://www.virtualbox.org (free and open source).

I only saw 4 games on Wbaduk (those Shenoute posted plus Debarre-Podpera still going). Any news on the other 4 games?

So given the 2nd round games just started we can say:
Simara beat Lin
Pop beat Sankin
Surma beat Hora
Blomback beat Jabarin

I do not need incomplete random methods, but use this concept:
http://home.snafu.de/jasiek/windows_sec ... ncept.html
Applying the concept to a new internet program requires effort, information or research in the program's behaviour though.

Thanks everybody for the SGFs!

Robert, using a virtual machine is not an incomplete "random" method, but it is what is used in most fields needing high security. Shared hosting environments, malware analysis companies, etc. You set up a virtual machine, and interact with the unknown program only within the virtual machine. No security problems, since the virtual machine hides all your system from the virtual machine.

Since the WBaduk installer and programs are too buggy, see
viewtopic.php?f=18&t=10365
it has been a bad decision to choose WBaduk for live games of the qualification tournament. I suggest KGS instead.

As far as organisation is concerned we could suggest smoke signs and it would be as useful
