I have been lurking and posting around L19 for a bit, but never properly introduced myself. I am 35 (this month), and living in Beppu, Japan. I have been playing go on and off since 1999 when I lived in Japan the first time as a JET teacher and was introduced to the game by a Japanese friend. I played on KGS and IGS under various names, but I don't have a lot of time to devote to full games because of a young child and work. So, recently I have been playing mostly 13X13 on OGS just for fun (I don't have the patience for OGS 19X19 games). I would really love to find a local player in Beppu who might like to throw down some stones. If anyone is local, please send me a PM. I am about 5K KGS. good to meet you all. |

Wow, That does look nice! i guess I have to explore more . I have been up to Yufu-in area, but never fully explored all in the mountains. I either have a view of the ocean or of the onsen from my place. For us, it is more about the onsen since we are closer to downtown, Kannawa and Myoban areas. These are some photos I took while jogging. I am sure you can tell I am not a professional. These were taken with my ipod.
