Hi,

In our go club, we would like to have a new web site, as the actual as is bit "old"
http://www.gocdf.ch/

I'm pretty much done with the new design, that will look something like that http://www.gocdf.ch/oca/news.html (this is just a sample...) and yes I know, the last news is quiet out dated ;)

The wood picture is the one kindly provided here by Hayang in that post : viewtopic.php?p=164139#p164139 ).
Also used the really nice picture of stones made by Edlee (viewtopic.php?p=164994#p164994)

@ Edlee, Hayang
Big thanks for your work and If there is any problem for me to use your work just tell me...

Now, regarding to content, I would like to know what kind of stuff you put on your own club's web site.
Any suggestion welcome :D

Idea we have for now are :
- A page tournement inscription
- A playable tsumego (Eidogo based), not a difficult one... the idea is more to attract new people than to be a challenge for guru.. The tsumego has not been choosen yet, so once again, if you have any suggestion, your welcome :D

Hi oca, you're welcome. What is the URL of your new website ?

I like simple designs. Example: SantaBarbaraGoClub.com
...which is already a bit cluttered. :)

You mean the bullet points ? :)

Not easy to find very clean, elegant, simple designs...

Apple
Houzz
Google

Yes, just the bullet for now, that just a tarting point... I would like to use it in the logo too and may be some other stuff too...

I like the design of your suggested sites, I noticed these for my self which are in the same very "horizontal" layout...

I like it too! The layout is much easier to my eyes, the old one was kind of hurting.

Two things i would change:
  • The Logo, the photo is actually quite cool but using it as a logo seems wired to me.
  • The news section is good too but i miss an rss feed, if you activate the news-feed i will come watch the news if not i will occasionally read them months later.

Hi betterlife,

Thanks for your suggestions, I like the idea of an rss feed, I will definitly add that functionality !
We will also have a new logo very soon, another guy in the club is allready working on that.
