I noticed the website said it will be in Santa Barbara, but where exactly? I couldn't find anywhere on the site that said that.

Campus point is reputed to be best with mid or high tide, so the wave shape should be good. But it is August, so they will be small.

For all those Go playing surfers? ;)

And what does pre-registration actually do for you? The site just mentions if you want to "show your interested in attending", but isn't pre-register normally a bit more of a commitment?

Actually, for all those surfing go players.

I'll be supplying boogie boards and fins ( maybe free, maybe at cost, not sure yet ) for anyone who wants to learn to ride waves.
You're in southern California, on the beach, in August...this is the chance of a lifetime!

You make an excellent point. And just gave me a whole lot more reasons why going to Go congress is an awesome idea (and not just nerdy). :D
