I have the book by Shuko Fujisawa but I get bored pretty fast, could be is too advance for me (I'm 5kyu) or maybe is that is really boring?

Anyone had read Reducing territorial framework? What is your review?

I have it, it's really boring. I think it's the subject, I have another(or two?) about invading frameworks and likewise, utterly boring :/

I used to have it until I sold all my books. I really liked it. But I am a huge Shuko fan and I was already at dan level when it came out. So maybe your assessment is correct. I do think there is good stuff to learned from it, though.

Still officially AGA 5d but I play so irregularly these days that I am probably only 3d or 4d over the board (but hopefully still 5d in terms of knowledge, theory and the ability to contribute).

I can't deny that. As far as content goes it's great, but on the interesting as reading, I found it terribly dry. I used to see The direction of pla as a very boring book and this and others about frameworks made me reconsider

It's one of my favorite books. I once left a copy on an airplane and ordered a new one as soon as I got home. I particularly like the first chapter in which Shuko wrote a list of secondary objectives for a reducing move, and then illustrated each one with examples. I also liked that he treats many reductions of common positions as josekis. There is an entire chapter on how to reduce the Chinese fuseki, also quite common. The book ends with 30 whole-board problems all taken from Shuko's own games, and his answers give good insight into professional thinking on the subject.

I actually really enjoyed this book. I happened to be able to borrow it from a friend recently and breezed through it in 2 days. I enjoyed the format and the topic and found it quite refreshing. I'm sorry to hear it was so dry for others though :(

I don’t know the book but I burst out loud with laughter when I thought of letting you know that my first thought was to OHMYGOD I need to look whether one of the many correspondence games I’m currently playing is against you :-D
