Re: GoGameGuru experience, mixed up order twice, advice need

I appreciate GGG store and what these guys are doing for the community. At the same time I'm not sure if I'm being treated fairly as a customer. You haven't being treated in the way that I would have liked and I'm sorry that this has happened. I've dealt with more than 500 emails already this week ...

Buyer beware
We got some samples from China once that were like that too (with about 100 stones of each color). It turned out that it was a gomoku set rather than a go set. Maybe that's also what happened here, despite the display packaging and description on the page you linked ...

Re: Regarding Gogameguru's boards.

That's what I was thinking too. By chance, would it be That noticable? The "veneered" board I mean.
Yes, it's noticeable if you know what to look for. The people that make these go to a great deal of effort to line up the grain, as you can see here (but look at the corners where two sides meet ...

Re: [NEW] The 2014 Ten-Game Match between Gu Li & Lee Sedol

@gogameguru, et. al. - I am really looking forward to your book. However, I don't think it's appropriate to hijack a thread about a Kiseido product in order to discuss it. Please take this elsewhere.

OK, well I'll answer those questions elsewhere if anyone still wants to continue the discussion ...

Re: Question about "Commented games of Lee Seedol"

If you can only get one of the books, I recommend that you get the second. In terms of the games and the analysis, both books are excellent, but...

I spent countless hours editing the manuscript of the second book, to polish the English. For the first book, I only became involved as a proofreader ...

Re: [NEW] The 2014 Ten-Game Match between Gu Li & Lee Sedol

I still hope Gogameguru can complete their book, although they will have a hard time topping the online commentaries already provided.
We've been doing a lot of work on our book and have added substantial new commentary about the opening of each game, modern opening theory, positional judgement at ...

Re: Who stands better in this fuseki?

In your original game, playing 11 at E2 is interesting in this opening, because K3 is already on the board and White doesn't have large moyo potential (the board has already been broken up diagonally).

I don't have time to make diagrams at the moment (sorry) but the idea is to make White over ...

Re: 10 games match Lee Sedol vs Gu Li

It's unclear what will happen if there's a draw.

As we've said several times over at GGG, there was a curious interview with the sponsor on Baduk TV (from memory during game 2). In that interview Ni Zhanggen clearly said that he was entertaining the idea of extending the match by three games if the ...

Will there be a viewable game tree? I think that's what I miss most when I go through gogameguru commentary on the web page. For now, I just have to download and use cgoban3.
That's what the download link is there for. Do you really think having the game tree on page is an important requirement ...

3. I haven't got time to do everything myself. One of my daughters looks after the site (and dealings with Anders, which is why I'm always a bit hazy on what the latest situation is), but she is not a go player, and I feel a bit reluctant to burden her with the sort of queries that come with a site ...

Re: Thick Table Boards?

I'm not sure why someone would go to the trouble of equipping an entire club with floor boards, only to remove the legs, however. I'm not sure either, but some people just prefer a thicker board, without legs.

We haven't really publicized this, but any of the floor boards in our store can be ...
