The correct (Pinyin) spelling of the names for the Chinese players is Rui Naiwei and Yu Zhiying.

The pinyin romanization of the Taiwanese names is Dang Xijun and Su Shengfang.

I'm rooting for Hu Yaoyu, he seems to have fallen out of the spotlight after losing to Zhou Junxun in the finals of the LG Cup 6 years ago. It would be great to see him finally get a world title.

I believe it's a lack of official pairings. The topic came up in an earlier tournament thread on the professionals board, but I can't remember where.

Kong Jie won the Asian TV cup after beating Baek Hongsuk in the final.

If you look at the tournament tables you will notice that for most tournaments the next round is drawn is such a matter matches between players from the same country are avoided as far as possible. The only exceptions to this that I'm aware of are the BC Card cup and the preliminaries to the LG Cup ...

Yang Dinxin 1d just made it to the 3rd round Quzhou-Lanke Cup, beating among others Chen Yaoye, Wang Yao and Huang Yizhong.

Does anybody have any information about him? Some googling seems to indicate that he is currently 10 years old, and became professional at the end of 2008.
