Re: SmartGo Kifu 3.0 is out now!
Hi lobotomy,
Ok, I retract my previous statement - It does come up with an error, at which point I had previously stopped, but you are right - if you ignore the message, and go to the downloads, you can then open it in Smartgo.
Thanks for the help, bit of a wally when it comes to this sort of thing.

Re: SmartGo Kifu 3.0 is out now!
I am using iCab to browse with, but if I click on download sgf, it tells me that "the file sgf.php cannot be displayed." Pressing and holding does not bring up an option to open in another application.
As I said, the previous method works, I am just adding this for completeness' sake.

Re: SmartGo Kifu 3.0 is out now!
Thanks very much for the swift and helpful response.
Just to confirm though - there is no way to get it going using only the Ipad? That's unfortunate if it is the case, as I purchased it mostly for when I am travelling.

Re: SmartGo Kifu 3.0 is out now!
I've just purchased this, and have what is probably a very basic question.
I'm playing a game on DGS - how do I take that game into Smartgo on the Ipad so that I can look at it there?

500 Internal Server Error
I am getting on this on random pages when I try and browse the forum. Is it me, or is there something wrong?

DGS time setting question
I want to put a game up with an absolute time setting, and not one that resets every time someone makes a move. A bit of byoyomi is okay, but I would like the game completed in about 10 days. Please could someone tell me what time setting to use for this.
Many thanks.
Many thanks.

Re: The importance of counting
I've recently begun counting, and it definitely makes a big difference. Very often I am surprised to find I am in the lead, where I felt the reverse was the case, or vice versa . The problem I face is that I seem to really battle to maintain the score. I do a rough count, which takes me a fair while ...

Re: Losing on Korean Servers
Probably your'e still in sandbagg zone.
Register as a 1d on tygem, you'll be able to beat about 50%
I'm a 3k on kgs and 1d on tygem and mostly I'm able to keep my rank.
Edit: I do play on the chinese servers, not sure if that makes any difference.
Cheers,
Otenki

If we are to assume from your post, which you seem to be asking us to do, that all Chinese are out to swindle us with inferior products at exorbitant prices, we must also assume that all Finns are irascible, easily taken in by a seemingly good deal and quick to take offense.

Re: Losing on Korean Servers
Just to get back to the question...
There is definitely a stylistic difference between the two servers. Fights that involve enormous groups are common on Tygem, rare on KGS. For me anyway. I'm 6k on KGS and hovering between 8 and 9k on Tygem. I have recently started winning more games on KGS ...

It seems you may have better luck if you offer games of go during the next Masters instead.

Re: "Teaching" my 4-year-old
I've recently started "playing" with my 4 year old as well. His interest has been piqued by watching me play online.
I can still beat him, but only because I haven't properly explained the rules of ko to him.
