Re: new challenge for Go programmers

Making Kifus more intresting - Move guessing score

While looking at professional games currently I came up with a idea that makes looking at them more intresting and motivates me to think myself instead of beeing just amazed by their moves. It is like a minigame while studying the kifu:

1) Do the first 20 moves like normally.
2) From the 21st move ...

I would recommend ogs. I played on ogs and dgs and ogs has better features in my opinion. Besides you can play faster timed games as well.

Yeah, really sad to see that since I only started later and like this forum a lot. Is there just to much contest from other places to discuss go?

Hi C,

N17 big or small ?
N17 is big, but I think a corner approaching/defending move is a bit bigger

:b16: C18 ?
C18 looks weird Assuming you meant P18, it looks intresting and I have to admit that I didn't thought about it. The devoloping fight looks complex, I would read it like this:

2-stone handicap game won by time (and half a point? )

Hi,

Today I had an intresting game I want to share with you and hear your opinion on it. I won by time and my continuation suggests a win by half a point, but I guess that result can change very quickly ;) Here it is:

Re: Everybody's duty?

I disagree that it should be everyones duty. I know people that never ever should be allowed to try to encourage or even teach someone... Not because they're evil but because they just don't have the personality. But I agree that it is our duty as a community in general to help beginners. The person ...

@Kirby:
It is intresting that Inseong says you're to impatient. I feel I'm the complete opposite because ignore opportunities to attack to use them later and am angry about myself as soon as my fixes his weakness naturally. As a result I try to change it and my current idea is to thing in this ...

Thanks Uberdude, that reasoning for the one-space-jump makes sense. If I don't want to give him the ponnuki, should I play this?:

Disagreeing about joseki is fun!

Hmmm. Hattori's one space jump doesn't look too bad, eh? Is the two-space-jump to difficult to fight?

It is just a variation (most likely a missclick while recording). One has to change the variation in the variations tree to see the whole game.

Re: Capital vs. Lowercase: Collaboration Game

@Observers: What the heck are they talking about?

It has been about a week. And even an SDK who spends five minutes analyzing the position should be able to see that white must extend.

Are they debating Trump vs Sanders? Maybe who is going to win the Super Bowl?

Are they even close to making a ...
