Actually, the game with Shin was yesterday. I have no idea about which ...

Re: Park Junghwan is The Best
Also, before beating Mok Jinsuk in the KBS Cup quarterfinals today, Park had already been reached the score of 3647 on Remi's goratings list, the highest point a human has ever reached (as of January 15). Among the top names, Junghwan was probably the most positively influenced one in the post ...

Fascinating indeed. And you're doing that on Tang, who is known for his boldness.Uberdude wrote:this willingness to go all in is something I've noticed in his games, makes them quite spectacular).

Re: Final Stage of 3rd MLily Cup Begins on June 19th
Here is the end position. Notice how white got several dozen points in the lower left and black got precisely zero from his shoulder hit group in that entire quadrant. Sometimes you use influence to make territory elsewhere on the board, but I don't think you can much say this for the left side or ...

Re: AI vs Human
Probably, in case of playing against AlphaGo constantly, if they start from reverse komi, it shouldn't take a long time for them to level up to one-stone handicap.

Park Jeonghwan against AI
I just came across a youtube video in which Korean no.1 Park Jeonghwan lost against an AI named "Master". I wonder if someone have better information on this game or event. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_FUxfrDeK4
(Edit: It seems that "Master" is AlphaGo, the game played on January 3, it also ...

2017; Retirement of Lee Sedol?
Lee Sedol closed the year by winning KBS Cup against Na Hyun. After the match, as far as I can understand through a google translation, he declared that next year would be the last year for his career if his results are similar to this year. He also seems to admit AlphaGo is stronger than him or Ke ...

Re: Nihon Ki-in announce World Go Championship including Zen
The difference between bot and human is probably not that little.

He also said that playing AlphaGo would be "song si", which literally means "gifting death", basically a phrase you use when you're way weaker than your opponent.
