We can assume Random But Not Stupid Monkey who will pass if and only if all legal moves fill an eye.
No we can't, it will decide at random. otherwise it isn't a random monkey, it is a almost random monkey.

Is anyone else amused by how there've been 125 posts here about a blog that, as far as I can tell, has had zero non-spam comments posted to it?

Reminds me that I'm told Bobby Fischer once said his favorite part of chess was the look on his opponent's face when they realized they'd lost.jts wrote:I actually find it immensely satisfying to see someone's face when they finally understand why you made that "bad" move.

Re: Sgf Management For IPad
As I've said other places before, I'm not an iPad user so I don't know if this directly applies -- but can you just select all your sgf files on your iPad and push them via bluetooth to your computer?

Not unless you use third-party software, and/or jailbreak it. In a stock configuration it does _not_ do that.daniel_the_smith wrote:If you plug your iPad into your computer, there is a documents drive that gets mounted

SmartGo Kifu lets you send an .sgf in an email: from a listing of games, tap the envelope icon in the lower left corner. I don't know if there's a way to import a game into the app, though.mogosoup wrote:Smartgo kifu is ok but I dont have any way of transferring the sgf files between my iPad and computer.

Under AGA rules, unless B disputes that e16 is alive, it is a point for W because it is entirely surrounded by live stones of a single color.
That said, W would have done well to play e17 instead of passing; it prevents the issue from coming up, and because of how the AGA rules work, it costs W ...

B can kill by filling in the outside liberties, then playing A17. If W captures at that point, B plays B18 and it's a dead shape.
