I was wondering if maybe they are further targets to hit, but that would spoil the simplicity of the game. Can't have that in a game involving a go board and stones, could we?

Maybe a bit like the old pub game of Shove Ha'penny? But face-to-face instead of both shooting up the same board? Probly not a safe game to play in a pub atmosphere, with the opponent opposite.

But what are those two things standing on the board?

The people with the greatest insight are the go server admins, who know ip addresses of the users. This, combined with email stats, could help a bit in finding unique number of users, along with a distribution of their playing frequency.

Sorry about this... it's the same as when GoUniverse started and it had a single IP address, like ShinKGS does at the moment. Someone gets booted on KGS, then tries to log in with the same name through ShinKGS, and so gets autobooted. But that puts the sole IP address of ShinKGS into KGS ...

My board is very heavy and a pizza bag / backpack / etc wouldn't be suitable. There would be a lot of stress placed on the corners of the board as the material would stretch and strain around these areas.

That's why, if I were making such a bag, I'd have straps that go in a continuous pair of ...
