For golfers, (not me, however)

There are several golf courses near the go congress site. The US Open in 2015 will be held at the Chambers Bay Course, a links style course on the Puget Sound, 25 minutes away.

Typically partial stays are allowed, near the pro-rated rate. Partial stays are arranged on an individual basis with the Registrar. The Registrar's email is on the contact page, see http://www.gocongress.org/2013/contacts

Contact the congress director and see if you can trade some work for the congress for a reduced registration. director2013@gocongress.org You are not obligated to stay on campus but it is hard to find an alternative cheaper near Tacoma than $58.75 per ...

Costs for single person:

Flight: $412 (obviously this will vary - typically lowest flights to seatac book 6-8 weeks prior)
Room : $256 (double occupancy dorm room, per person)
Registration: $360 (discount for child, teenager and those able to vote but not drink)
Food: $210
Banquet: $32

Hello msgreg,

Self paired games usually begin about noon Saturday. Mostly the afternoon is about registering, seeing old friends and finding your room and hopefully soccer at 4 pm. The opening ceremony is usually after dinner, either 7 or 7:30 pm with the 9x9 tournament starting about 8 or 8:30. By ...

My 7 year old son and I attended the Santa Barbara Congress. He thought it was the 2nd best vacation we have had, after Disney World. It was a wonderful week and a well run congress.
